It’s been a while since I’ve done a restaurant review, however this spot was very appealing to me and I though I should mention it. After our day trip apple picking in Masker Orchards Tania and I decided to be more “exciting” by trying out a new restaurant. We usually settle for ramen noodles but this time decided to try out Sweet Chick. This place specializes in waffles and deep fried chicken and is located on Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City. I have to admit the food was really good. The wings were very tender and slid right off the bone. The waffles were pretty good as well. Tania isn’t really a big fan of fried foods, however she did enjoy the Mac and Cheese dearly! The look on her face on the first taste said it all. One thing we didn’t particularly enjoy was the music; it was very loud. We will definitely be returning whenever that soul food bug bites again.
