New York City subway overcrowding

Written by Leisure / General

Hopped on the subway today at 8pm and found myself surrounded by hundreds more just like myself. I had completely forgotten the stressful feeling of the morning commute. Walking up the stairs only to hear your train leaving the station, entering a car in which everyone is standing by the doors, or even rubbing bodies with complete strangers throughout your ride are truly irritating experiences. Gladly a large majority of people take the escalators, and therefore I am at least rewarded with an empty staircase. Hope all the construction to improve service and the addition of the second avenue subway line help to clear the clutter.
