A good luck gift from India

Written by Leisure / General

My boss’ wife had brought this present for me from India. She claims it is for good luck. Apparently, when an elephant’s trunk is above its head, this is a sign of wealth and good luck. I’m not too big on superstitions, but Felix had given me an owl, and I’ve had quite a good fortune since then. Let’s see if the elephant adds to it [fingers crossed]. Though there is no exact explanation for why this is considered good luck, many from the far east believe it to be true. In Thailand for example, an elephant is considered to be good luck no matter what it’s truck position is in. Regardless of the symbolism, I am very grateful that she thought of me while on her trip.
