After the firework display, we were hungry for a bathroom and some food. We walked along Washington Street and then stumbled upon this place. It was one of the few places which was still opened and was not crowded.
We had water and were served chips with sauce as a complementary starter. One thing I initially noticed was that the food was served on dishes. For a cheap Chinese food location, I think that definite plus. The starter arrived very quickly and the chef (another plus), walked over to us and asked us what we would like. I immediately referred him to the teriyaki chicken on a nearby table for an appetizer.
The food was served within minutes. We munched on the chicken and dipped it into our sweet sauce from the complementary chips platter. Five minutes later our dishes were on our tables. We both had fried rice with chicken. Tania had sesame chicken while I had the TSO chicken. I love that the food was fairly well presented and on a plate. This somehow made it taste better considering it was not served on styrofoam.
Overall, this place was a great spot to grab a quick bite. I was explaining to Tania that in order to complete with the many restaurants on the street, I’m sure this joint needed to raise it’s standards in order to stay in existence. This location most certainly increased our interest in cheap, quick Chinese cuisine.
