Importance of post-processing

Written by Leisure / General, Photography

Though the left side isn’t edited fully, you can still get an idea of the importance of post-processing your images. Not only is the grass greener (due to increased saturation), but the color temperature along with the exposure are adjusted. Sometimes post-processing is what stands between a good shot and a well exposed shot. As you can see the gray mood from the image has been removed, and replaced with a more colorful one. Sometimes it pays to go the extra mile. Also you may notice that the sky is not as blue as it should have been. This is due to the fact that I shot the image in JPEG. If I was to shoot in RAW format I might have been able to recover some more detail in the shadows.
